My "crazyguyonabike" Journals.

There is a site called "crazyguyonabike.com". This site contains thousands of online travelogues of cyclists, who tour in all parts of the globe. There's also discussion boards and other information on bicycle touring.
My Grandpa Plumlee enjoyed fishing. My dad once said, "I think Dad enjoys talking about fishing more than he enjoy actually fishing". Sometimes I wonder if the same is true for me and bike riding. Maybe I enjoy talking, and writing about, bike trips more than I actually enjoy doing them.
I do enjoy documenting my bike rides. I once read, "If you want to write something interesting, then do something interesting to write about".  Here are links to my online jounals:

In 2003, did my first solo, multi-day ride. I rode the Katy Trail for 7 days, from Clinton, Mo to St. Charles, MO:

In 2008, a cousin and I did a four-state, six-day, five-night loop from my home. He rode to Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri:

Also in 2008, I also did a journal of a day trip, that my cycling buddy Jerri and I did from Green Forest to Ponca:

In 2009, I completed "RAGBRAI". It is the world's largest organized cycling event. It's a week-long ride across Iowa, which draws around 20,000 cycliests each year. That year, we rode from Council Bluffs to Burlington:

In 2010, I returned to Iowa to once again, complete RAGBRAI. This time, daughter Karla and her husband Jason rode with me. They do a different route each year. This time, we rode from Souix City to Dubuque:

In 2011, my cycling buddy Jerri and I, rode our bikes across Arkansas. We started at Blue Eye, MO, and rode south for 6 days, until we seen the "Welcome to Louisiana" sign:

In 2014, I joined the "Oklahoma Freewheel" group for a ride across Oklahoma. It's a similiar ride to RAGBRAI, but only draws about 500 riders each year. We started in Comanche, OK, rode down to the Texas border, then rode north for seven days to Caldwell, KS:

Again in 2014, I did a four-day ride from my home to Earle, AR.
